Key to Simplicity, a professional organizing and coaching service, was started by Laura Stauffer in 2008. She began Key to Simplicity in Texas assisting members of the Austin community in reclaiming their spaces. Laura subsequently moved the business to New Orleans, LA in 2013, helping victims of Hurricane Katrina rehabilitate their homes. Laura holds a B.A. in Psychology with a specialization in human services and development from the University of New Orleans.

Laura is an enthusiastic and thoughtful organizer committed to helping others move forward in their lives. She has engaged with clients experiencing many of life's common transitions: arrival of a new baby, marriage separation, moving house, empting nesting, and retirement. Her work has taken her across the United States to a variety of venues from sprawling estates to rural farms.

As of 2022, Laura offers her services in Portland, OR. She is currently pursuing her PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. In her spare time she enjoys practicing yoga, visiting the Oregon Coast, and spoiling her cat Beatrix.
